Holiday Workshop Details

Unlock the world of programming for young minds using Scratch – a fun block-based visual programming language developed to transform abstract programming concepts into engaging, hands-on experiences. Through engaging games, animations, and projects, children will master coding fundamentals like sequencing, conditionals, loops, variables, and events, all while honing their design thinking skills.

Dates and Times:

  • 10th to 14th of June (Monday to Friday)
  • 9:00 am to 12:00 pm
  • Age Group: Open to children aged 7 to 9

This workshop promises an engaging and educational experience, where children will embark on a journey of digital creation and problem-solving.

What to Expect from the Workshop

The Scratch programming workshop is designed not only to teach children how to code but also to inspire them to become creators and innovators. Here’s what participants can expect:

  • Curriculum Overview: The workshop will cover the fundamentals of Scratch programming, including how to think like a programmer, use logical reasoning, and tackle problems creatively.
  • Learning Outcomes: By the end of the workshop, students will have created their own interactive projects, such as games or animations, which they can share with friends and family. More importantly, they will take away a sense of achievement and the confidence to continue exploring the vast world of coding.
  • Teaching Philosophy: Emphasizing a hands-on, minds-on approach, the workshop will be led by experienced instructors from The Young Maker. The teacher-to-student ratio is carefully maintained to ensure that each child receives individual attention and support.
