Frequently Asked Questions

The founders and teachers of TYM are a team of computer science-trained engineers based in Singapore and the USA. They established TYM to make coding education more meaningful and innovative. TYM operates both physical classrooms and an online gamified platform called CodeMaker, designed to revolutionise coding education.

TYM offers courses for children and teenagers from 4 to 18 years old.

TYM has a proprietary curriculum covering two tracks: coding and robotics. Each new module is accompanied by a module-specific book, developed by TYM, to guide students in their learning journey. Based on each student’s aptitude and aspiration, we will propose the appropriate curriculum for them.

The Direct School Admission (DSA) track trains students in both coding and robotics, preparing a comprehensive portfolio that includes competitive projects. TYM has successfully placed students in their schools of choice every year.

Each lesson typically lasts between 1 to 1.5 hours, depending on the course.

Payment in full is due before the first session of each module. Invoices are sent one week before the class starts.

No make-up classes or refunds are provided for absences or lateness. However, absences with a medical certificate may qualify for make-up classes, subject to availability.

Every child receives regular reports detailing their lessons learned and performance. Parents can also stay informed through end-of-module presentations that showcase the students’ achievements
