The Kubo competition, scheduled for August 26th or 27th, 2024, equips participating teams with a softcopy of game field 1 (Missions 1 to 4) for preparation and provides game field objects prior to the event. Teams must bring their own KUBO Coding Starter and Coding+ Sets. In the event of a tie, the winner is determined by the shortest overall time during the competition rounds.

2. PRESCHOOL ARTec CHALLENGE 2024

The Preschool ARTec challenge features a comprehensive challenge designed to test young participants in multiple areas. Scheduled for onsite presentations and Q&A sessions on August 21st or 22nd, participants are limited to a 5-minute presentation and a 3-minute Q&A to showcase their learning and the development of their prototypes. Evaluation criteria include coding, design, reflection, and presentation skills. Following the presentations, the competition intensifies with robot runs on August 27th or 28th, where teams will navigate four missions involving tasks like cleaning waterways and planting seeds to sustain ecosystems, within a 60-minute limit. Scoring considers the coding and design of the ARTec Robot, reflection, and presentation, with additional points for mission performance. The competition emphasizes practical application of skills, teamwork, and problem-solving, culminating in a hands-on test of the students’ robots and their programming capabilities.

3. THE YOUNG MAKER * NLB SCRATCH JR COMPETITION 2024

The Young Maker and the National Library in Singapore are hosting a Scratch Junior competition designed to merge coding with social consciousness.
