At The Young Maker, learning goes beyond the classroom! As part of our Holiday Camp, our young innovators went behind the scenes at Archisen, one of Singapore’s leading urban farms, to explore how technology, sustainability, and agriculture come together to shape the future of food production.
A Hands-On Urban Farming Experience
During the visit, kids got an exclusive look at a high-tech indoor farm, where they discovered how hydroponics, automation, and AI-powered systems help grow fresh produce efficiently. They learned how smart farming techniques reduce water usage, eliminate pesticides, and support Singapore’s food security goals.
What Kids Experienced at the Holiday Camp
- Our hands-on activities helped kids develop E21CC (21st Century Competencies) skills like problem-solving, creativity, and environmental awareness.
- Explored vertical farming and hydroponic systems and saw IoT sensors in action, monitoring plant growth in real-time.
- Learned how urban farming supports sustainable food production.

Learning Beyond the Camp
This Holiday Camp experience was designed to spark curiosity in STEM and sustainability, showing kids how science and technology play a role in everyday life. Through engaging, real-world activities, we empower the next generation of innovators, scientists, and changemakers.
