Digital Safety for Kids: Training AI Models to Recognise Deepfakes

Supported by IMDA, join our digital safety workshops for kids between 2025 and 2026, where students will not only learn to spot deepfakes and manipulated media but also build AI literacy and model awareness to stay safe in today’s rapidly evolving online world.

What Students will Learn

  • Introduction to AI – What Artificial Intelligence is and how it works.

  • AI Application – Everyday applications such as image recognitionpose detection, and voice recognition.

  • Training an AI Model – Hands-on practice teaching a model using Google Teachable.

  • Responsible AI Use – Building digital safety and ethical habits online.

  • Why Deepfake Awareness Matters 

    Deepfakes are becoming more common across social media and online platforms. By understanding AI image recognition and deepfake detection tools, students gain critical thinking skills to question digital content and build confidence in their online safety practices.
