Robotics Lego for Kids

STEM, coding, and engineering

The Young Maker’s Robotics LEGO Bootcamp in Singapore invites children aged 7–12 to dive into the world of STEM, coding, and engineering through hands-on themed projects that turn imagination into invention.

Students will learn how to download and run programs on the LEGO hub, exploring how sensors, motors, and code work together to bring robots to life.

Building & Programming Competition-Style Robots

In the second phase, participants take their skills further by constructing competition-style robotic vehicles. They’ll learn to program their robots to:

  • Navigate obstacles

  • Follow lines

  • Execute precise movements

Through interactive challenges and problem-solving missions, students gain practical experience in robotics and engineering.

By the end of the bootcamp, every participant will have built a fully functional competition-ready robot.

What is Robotics Lego?

Robotics Lego combines building, coding, and creative play.
Children learn how gears, motors, and sensors work together to make robots move, react, and think — just like real machines.
Each session introduces core STEM principles through interactive challenges, encouraging kids to experiment, problem-solve, and design their own robotic creations.
It’s the ideal first step into robotics for kids in Singapore, helping them develop skills that can grow into deeper interests — from school robotics programs to national competitions, like National Robotics Competition (NRC), First Lego League (FLL).

This Holiday’s Featured Themes

Space Exploration

Students will explore how sensors, motors, and control algorithms allow robots to detect and navigate “alien terrain,” simulating the real-world challenges faced by aerospace and planetary exploration engineers. Each mission encourages systems thinking—integrating mechanical design, sensor feedback, and coding logic to achieve successful exploration.

Wildlife

Students will create animal-like robots that walk, flap, crawl, or roar—learning how actuators and motion sensors replicate natural movement.
As they program their robots to respond to environmental cues, they’ll gain insight into automation, kinematics, and interaction design.

What Kids Will Learn in the Robotics Lego Bootcamp

  • Understand the logic behind coding and automation
  • Build and test real moving LEGO robots
  • Strengthen problem-solving and engineering skills
  • Develop teamwork and presentation confidence
  • Gain exposure to concepts used in the National Robotics Competition (NRC) and FIRST LEGO League (FLL)
  • Cultivate higher-order thinking skills aligned with GEP (Gifted Education Programme) values

Pathway to the National Robotics Competition (NRC) Singapore

The National Robotics Competition (NRC), organized annually by Science Centre Singapore, is one of the nation’s most prestigious STEM events. It challenges students to apply their creativity, coding, and engineering skills to solve real-world problems through robotics design and innovation.

Our Robotics LEGO Holiday Bootcamp provides the perfect foundation for aspiring participants. Students gain practical exposure to competition-style builds, autonomous navigation, and sensor-based problem solving—key competencies emphasized in NRC challenges.

Why Parents Love Our Robotics LEGO Classes

Our robotics class in Singapore is designed to make learning both structured and joyful.
Children don’t just follow instructions — they experiment, tinker, and think like inventors.
Each workshop is led by experienced instructors from our School of Robotics, ensuring that every child receives personal guidance and a memorable learning experience.
